A diagnosis of breast cancer is extremely stressful and can be overwhelming. Sometimes it is even difficult to know what questions to ask your doctor and you inevitably remember questions you wish you had asked afterward. Stress can affect your concentration and memory, so take a friend with you to your appointment and get them to take notes while you ask questions and listen. Even take a recorder and record the discussion if it is OK with your doctor. Most won’t have any problem with this.
